Colour, rhythm and tradition filled the National Cultural Centre on Wednesday night as delegates representing Regions One through Ten took the stage for the 2026 Miss Amerindian Heritage Pageant.
The delegates introduced themselves and their regions before facing the intelligence segment, where they showcased their knowledge, confidence and passion for their communities.
The talent segment brought Indigenous culture to life through song, spoken word and other performances, followed by evening gown and traditional wear presentations.

The pageant also celebrated 25 years of crowning queens, with former titleholders recognised for their contribution to Indigenous culture and representation.
As the competition drew to a close, Region Five placed fourth and won Best Talent, while Region Eight finished third and secured Miss Congeniality.
Region Nine placed second and won Best in Traditional Wear, while Region Two was named First Runner-Up and captured Best in Evening Gown.
The night belonged to Region Four’s Alliah Simon, who emerged victorious and was crowned Miss Amerindian Heritage 2026.
For the ten delegates, the pageant was more than a competition for a crown. It was an opportunity to represent their communities, celebrate their heritage and carry Indigenous culture forward.
