The Ministry of Labour has inaugurated a new office in Better Hope, East Coast Demerara, to enhance service accessibility for communities along the East Coast.
This development is anticipated to benefit residents by providing vital services related to training, human development, and safeguarding workers’ rights.
Minister Joseph Hamilton emphasized that the significant investment in this facility demands its effective utilization to serve the East Coast population.
He underscored that the office will have dedicated personnel for labor, cooperative matters, Occupational Safety and Health, and Central Recruitment and Manpower Agency, ensuring consistent engagement with residents.
The aim is to reduce the number of individuals visiting the main office.
Minister Hamilton emphasized that he expects everyone to diligently perform their duties, providing quality services to the public.
This proactive approach is aimed at streamlining operations and preventing an overflow of inquiries at his office.
The Ministry of Labour has a network of offices across various regions, including Regions 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, along with their central office and BIT centers.
