Ministry of Housing and Water to Allocate 3000 Residential Lots in Wales, WBD

The Ministry of Housing and Water has announced plans to allocate approximately 3000 residential lots in Wales, West Bank Demerara, Region Three.

Minister Collin Croal revealed this development during a community meeting at Anna Catherina on the West Coast of Demerara.

The allocation of these house lots will take place during a Dream Realised Initiative scheduled for April 5th and 6th.

Minister Croal emphasized that these lots will address applications dating back to 2019 and earlier, highlighting the government’s commitment to resolving housing challenges across the country.

Minister Croal further mentioned the Ministry’s consideration of constructing turn-key units to cater to various income brackets, aligning with the government’s aim to provide accessible and affordable housing solutions for all citizens.

Additionally, he addressed squatter issues at Tract ‘K’ Pin, Anna Catherina, where surveyors are facilitating the regularization process.

The New Wales area is also set for significant development, with plans in place for the construction of approximately 5000 lots.

Minister Croal outlined the government’s comprehensive approach to resolving outstanding housing issues, emphasizing progress made and ongoing efforts to finalize the area’s development plan within the next three weeks.

Residents have already begun making payments for their respective plots, indicating significant progress in the housing allocation process.
