The Ministry of Health has officially relaunched its Dental Laboratory Technician Training Program in Georgetown, marking a significant step forward in enhancing the country’s dental health sector.

After a 15-year hiatus, this initiative aims to train 15 individuals in various aspects of dental laboratory technology.

The revamped program will offer comprehensive training over the next 18 months, covering a broad range of subjects essential for dental laboratory technicians.

Participants expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, noting their long-standing interest in the dental field and the program’s potential to advance their careers.

Minister of Health Dr. Frank Anthony emphasized the importance of this training for the dental health industry.

He highlighted the program as a pivotal development, stating that it will not only benefit the current batch of trainees but will also be offered annually in the future.

This approach aims to ensure a continuous influx of qualified professionals to support the expansion and improvement of dental services in the country.

The Ministry of Health is committed to making this program a regular feature, opening opportunities for more individuals interested in pursuing careers in dentistry and contributing positively to the sector.
