Minister of Human Services and Social Security, Dr. Vindhya Persaud, emphasized the importance of initiatives like the Women’s Innovation and Investment Network (WIIN) in fostering women’s entrepreneurial capacity.
Speaking at the We Lift 4 event, which highlighted Guyanese women in business, Minister Persaud encouraged women to make the most of opportunities provided by WIIN.
“Women are just eager for the opportunity, and we are providing it in so many ways. It is important to influence and inspire generations of women every day so they can see their own self-worth, their own potential, and not leave it there but to utilize it in the many ways you see it unfold,” remarked Dr. Vindhya Persaud.
Highlighting the critical need for sustainability in advancing women’s entrepreneurship, Minister Persaud stressed the importance of utilizing programs like WIIN to empower women and girls and help them achieve financial independence.
“Use every opportunity that comes through the WIIN program because it is crafted with you in mind,” urged Dr. Vindhya Persaud.
The two-day expo, ‘WE LIFT 4,’ witnessed a significant turnout, with hundreds showing support for the numerous businesses that participated, showcasing the momentum of women’s entrepreneurship in Guyana.
