Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports, Charles Ramson, fulfilled a promise to young footballers in Number 5 village, Region Five, by distributing football gear during a follow-up visit to the community ground.

Over 20 footballers received the much-needed equipment, fulfilling a request they had made for football shoes.

Minister Ramson emphasized that these items would significantly contribute to the youths’ development and skill enhancement in the sport.

Furthermore, Minister Ramson highlighted ongoing infrastructural works on the ground, underscoring the government’s commitment to improving sports facilities across the region.

Member of Parliament, Faizal Jafarally, commended Minister Ramson for his dedication to youth development through sports.

He emphasized the positive impact the gear would have on the recipients, encouraging their active participation in sports for a healthier lifestyle.

Expressing gratitude for the gesture, one of the recipients pledged to make good use of the gear, further highlighting the importance of such initiatives in fostering community engagement and athletic development.

In addition to the visit to Number 5 village, Minister Ramson conducted engagements at several other community grounds across Region Five, demonstrating the government’s commitment to engaging with communities and promoting sports as a means of youth empowerment and community development.
