The Linden Hospital’s Ambulance Station has undergone a significant transformation, with a brand-new building recently inaugurated by Minister of Health Dr. Frank Anthony.

The ceremony, marked by a ribbon-cutting event, was attended by Regional Health Officer Dr. Gregory Harris and Regional Executive Officer Dwight John.

The reconstruction project, which commenced after the demolition of the previous building in November last year, was undertaken to provide a more spacious and efficient workspace for ambulance attendants and drivers.

The upgraded facility, with a total investment of $18 million, is now equipped to enhance emergency response services in the region.

One of the notable improvements includes the provision of accommodation for drivers, addressing a longstanding request from staff members.

However, while the facility is being upgraded, the regular emergency contact number remains temporarily unavailable.

In the interim, individuals requiring emergency medical assistance can use the temporary number: 702-7305.

Hospital management expresses hope for the swift restoration of the regular emergency number as the facility’s enhancement continues.
