Minister Kwame McCoy Addresses Issues in Warlock Community

Minister of Public Affairs, Kwame McCoy, responded to a situation in the Warlock community after construction workers executing infrastructure projects were reportedly attacked by residents.

Minister McCoy visited the Warlock community in response to a call for intervention after workers executing infrastructure projects in the area faced attacks by residents.

According to reports received by NCN News, attempts to obstruct road works in the area were allegedly fueled by members of the APNU+AFC, including opposition MP Annette Ferguson.

A construction worker involved in the incident shared their account with NCN News, detailing the challenges faced by the workers while trying to carry out their duties.

Minister McCoy reiterated the PPP/C Government’s commitment to improving the quality of life for every citizen. He assured that efforts to disrupt community development by the opposition would not succeed.

Recently, 27 contracts worth a total of 127 million dollars were awarded to residents of East and West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, for major community development projects.

Minister McCoy emphasized that these projects are aimed at benefiting the community as a whole and called on residents to not be swayed by those who oppose progress.

He urged residents to work together for the advancement of their community and the country as a whole.
