Preparatory works at the Cummings Lodge 1767 Development are on track to be completed by November 30, according to Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal.

Despite some initial delays, the minister has emphasized the importance of meeting contractual timelines, warning contractors of potential liquidated damages for any further setbacks.

Minister Croal inspected the ongoing works and cited that there was no excuse for not completing the land preparation, pipe network and road works within the agreed upon time frame. He also further committed to meeting deadlines and delivering on promises made to the residents of Cummings Lodge 1767.

The development is a significant project, with around $1.4 billion invested to transform the area.

The comprehensive plan includes the creation of a commercial and medical zone, as well as a water treatment plant to enhance infrastructure and community services.

If all goes according to schedule, approximately 800 individuals who have been allocated land in the development will be able to identify their plots before Christmas.

Minister Croal expressed his optimism about reaching this milestone and providing residents with tangible benefits from the development.

The Cummings Lodge 1767 Development is part of the government’s broader commitment to national development and improving living standards for citizens.
