The Men on Mission initiative continues its commitment to supporting those in need, with their latest effort benefiting a couple in Crabwood Creek, Region Six.
In a heartfelt gesture, the organization handed over a newly constructed home to 61-year-old Shakuntala Babooram and her 63-year-old husband, a former sugar worker.
The keys to their new residence were presented by Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh.
Shakuntala expressed her relief at receiving the new home, noting that their previous house was in disrepair and no longer safe for living.
She highlighted the urgency of their need for a stable and secure place to live.
Dr. Singh, during the handover ceremony, emphasized the government’s dedication to improving the quality of life for all Guyanese.
He pointed out that the Men on Mission initiative, aligned with President Ali’s vision, seeks to address the immediate and pressing needs within the community, particularly in cases of medical emergencies and natural disasters.
The coordinator of the Men on Mission, Colonel Baleshwar Murli, and his team were commended for their voluntary efforts in helping the people of Guyana.
