The vibrant spirit of Mashramani, Guyana’s annual cultural festival, is taking center stage as the Department of Education orchestrates children’s competitions across various regions.
In Region 6, a total of 12 schools enthusiastically participated in the festivities, showcasing their creativity and talents.
The event in Region 6 encompassed a diverse array of competitions, including dramatic poetry, calypso, individual and group dances, physical displays, special items, and a captivating choir presentation.
The stage came alive with performances from students representing schools such as Corriverton Primary, Skeldon Line Path Secondary, and Tagore Memorial Secondary, among others.
The children poured their energy and creativity into their respective pieces, delivering compelling performances that celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Mashramani.

Following the spirited performances, the competition acknowledged the outstanding contributions of the participating schools. Corriverton Primary emerged as the overall winner, securing the first-place position.
Other notable schools that excelled in the competition included Massiah Primary, Tagore Secondary, and Skeldon Line Path.
