Mashramani 2025 to Integrate Cultural Celebrations with Energy Conference

By Nakasia Logan | January 13, 2025

The Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sport has announced significant changes to the Mashramani 2025 events calendar.

In a move aimed at merging cultural celebration with business and investment, the Mashramani festivities will be paired with the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Exposition, scheduled for February 18 to 24, 2025.

This collaboration will offer a unique opportunity for visitors attending the conference to experience Guyana’s cultural heritage while participating in the energy-focused event.

The initiative is designed to attract international attendees, particularly those from the oil and energy sectors, and provide them with an immersive cultural experience.

Among the new additions to the Mashramani 2025 schedule is the “Taste of Guyana” festival, which will highlight the nation’s diverse culinary offerings.

Events will also take place at new locations such as the seawall and Main Street, locations that have not been used for Mashramani activities in previous years.

A special concert, tentatively called the “One Guyana Energy Concert,” will also be introduced as part of the Mashramani celebrations.

Though the official name has not yet been confirmed, this event is expected to bring together cultural and energy elements, adding a fresh dimension to the festival.

As preparations continue, submissions for the festival’s competitions have already started to arrive, indicating strong interest in the upcoming Mashramani celebrations.

The integration of cultural and business activities promises to make Mashramani 2025 one of the most exciting and inclusive events in the country’s history.
