Residents of Linden, Region Ten, have expressed strong appreciation for President Irfaan Ali’s recent commitment to enhancing large-scale farming in the region.

During a visit to the mining town, the President engaged with local farmers and community members, announcing several initiatives aimed at strengthening the agriculture sector.

One of the key pledges made by President Ali was the allocation of 1,000 acres of land for the cultivation of red beans and black-eyed peas.

He also assured farmers of secured market access for red bean production, addressing a longstanding challenge for local producers.

Additionally, he committed to providing each community with a tractor to ease farming operations.

The announcements have been met with enthusiasm from residents, who view these measures as critical for agricultural development in the region.

Farmers, such as Shem Reece from Ebini, welcomed the secured market opportunities, highlighting the significance of this support in encouraging greater production.

Another resident, Cato Reece, emphasized the importance of the promised agricultural machinery, noting that having access to tractors would significantly reduce manual labor and enhance productivity.

With these initiatives, President Ali’s administration aims to boost the agricultural output of Region Ten, positioning the area as a hub for large-scale farming and economic growth.

The commitments have strengthened optimism among the local population, who anticipate a more sustainable and prosperous agricultural sector in the coming years.
