The distribution of the $100,000 cash grant to eligible residents in Linden, Region 10, began on Friday, with Speightland being the first community to receive the payments.

The initiative, which targets adults 18 years and older, follows previous phases that provided support to public servants, pensioners, and persons with disabilities.

The distribution process commenced at 9:00 a.m. and proceeded smoothly, allowing residents to collect their grants without delays.

Regional Coordinator Andrew Foresight confirmed that additional distributions are scheduled for Monday in other communities across the region.

Many recipients expressed appreciation for the financial assistance, noting its benefits for their households.

The initiative is expected to provide significant relief to individuals and families across Linden.

Upcoming distribution points include Amelia’s Ward Playfield, Bayroc Community Center, Block 22 Community Center, and Three Corners Blueberry Hill.

Residents are advised to check the Department of Public Information’s Facebook page for further details on the schedule.
