Adriel Thompson, a 20-year-old poet from Linden, recently hosted a week-long “Sip and Pen” workshop aimed at helping local youths harness their talent for expression.
Held at the Christianburg Wismar Secondary School, the workshop targeted children aged 11 to 16, teaching the art of poetry and self-expression as vital tools for navigating life’s challenges.
Thompson, who has performed at both national and regional events, shared his motivation for creating the workshop, saying that initiatives like these are much-needed in Linden.
He hopes to provide guidance to young people, fostering their creative talents in ways he wished he had when he first discovered his passion for poetry.
