The Linden Immigration and Passport Office is extending its operating hours to include Saturdays, starting from October 14th.

This move is aimed at expediting the distribution of passports and eliminating the existing backlog.

In response to the backlog issue, the government has committed to clearing approximately 5,700 pending passports, ensuring a prompt issuance to citizens.

Sergeant Sherwin Dodson, who oversees the Linden office, encourages individuals to collect their passports.

He emphasizes that the office is dedicated to providing efficient service and assures that the documents are readily available for pickup.

To accommodate applicants, both the Linden and Immigration offices nationwide will be operating for extended hours.

In cases where individuals are unable to personally collect their passports, arrangements can be made to authorize a family member for pickup.

For inquiries about document availability, applicants can contact the office at 444-4552 or 444-4553.

Sergeant Dodson can also be reached at 682-1647.

This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to streamlining passport issuance for the convenience of citizens.
