In a recent announcement, the Linden Mayor and Town Council (LM&TC) staff have received a one-off $25,000 cash bonus.

This special cash grant was approved by the government and distributed to recognize the hard work and dedication of the council staff throughout the year.

During a meeting in the LM&TC Boardroom, Town Clerk (ag) Lennox Gasper conveyed the news of the government-approved cash grant to the staff.

He expressed gratitude for their commitment and efforts, acknowledging the challenges they faced throughout the year.

Despite constraints, Gasper commended the staff for their resilience and positive impact on people’s lives.

Lennox Gasper highlighted that, despite political differences, the councilors unanimously agreed on the one-off cash grant for the staff.

He emphasized the importance of teamwork and urged employees to elevate their performance in the upcoming year.

Looking ahead to 2024, Gasper encouraged a motto of ‘Teamwork and Respect’ for the entire staff.

He emphasized the administration’s commitment to working in the interest of the people and encouraged employees to contribute to the collective success of the organization.

NCN News spoke with some staff members who expressed their appreciation for the cash grant.

Reaon Alleyne, a Constable, conveyed thanks and blessings, while Beverley Lewis, a Market Cleaner, expressed gratitude and wished blessings upon those responsible for the grant.

This one-time cash bonus serves as a recognition and appreciation gesture for the dedicated efforts of the LM&TC staff, fostering a positive work environment.
