Regional officials in Linden have hailed the Linden Mash 2024 celebrations as impressive, with hundreds of patrons showing their support.

The event, themed “The Golden Arrowhead Mashramani Festival 2024,” saw a significant turnout and featured a new route, starting at the Bayroc Area and culminating at the Retrieve Hard court.

The major event was organized by the Region 10 Tourism Committee, chaired by Devin Sears.

Despite initial concerns about turnout, Sears described the support received as “impressive,” indicating the success of the celebrations.

The parade included participation from various entities such as GT&T, ExxonMobil, 104.3 Boom FM, and Bernard Variety Store.

Additionally, the Regional Democratic Council band, which had previously participated in the National Event in the City on February 23, added to the festivities.

Spectators along the route expressed their enjoyment of the event, with one roadside vendor/spectator describing it as a “nice time in Linden.”

However, while there was a noticeable increase in support for the local Mashramani celebration, some spectators expressed a desire for further improvements and increased participation.

The Region 10 Tourism Committee plans to extend the Mashramani celebrations to Kwakwani on March 22 and 23, 2024, continuing the spirit of celebration and community engagement.

Overall, the Linden Mash 2024 celebrations received praise for their impressive turnout and vibrant atmosphere.

While some spectators called for further enhancements, the event showcased the rich cultural heritage and community spirit of Linden.
