Linden Leaders Commend Budget 2024 as a Solid Financial Roadmap

Leaders in Linden, Region 10, have praised the 2024 budget as a well-crafted financial roadmap that prioritizes key sectors of the economy.

The budget has been applauded for its allocation to the health and education sectors, with leaders expressing confidence that this focus, along with infrastructure development, will contribute to significant growth in Guyana.

Dwight John, the Regional Executive Officer of Region 10, thanked the PPP/C Government for the budget, describing it as wonderfully crafted and expressing happiness about the expected benefits for the region.

Leola Narine, Assistant Regional Executive Officer for Region Ten, highlighted improvements for citizens, including pension increases and grants, emphasizing the government’s role in ensuring benefits for all.

Linden’s Town Clerk (ag), Lennox Gasper, endorsed the budget, emphasizing the over $1.1 trillion allocation for various sectors.

He expressed optimism about witnessing growth, development, and massive expansion in infrastructure, health, education, tourism, and other areas.

The budget for 2024, unveiled by Senior Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh, amounts to $1.146 trillion and carries the theme “Staying the Course: Building Prosperity for All.”
