The Linden Hospital Complex has introduced a program offering prescription spectacles for both children and adults at a subsidized cost.
In addition to this, the hospital’s eye clinic continues to provide free eye tests and screenings for various eye conditions.
Petal Archer, the Public Relations Officer of the Linden Hospital Complex, emphasized the improved services provided by the eye clinic.
Previously, patients would receive a prescription for eyewear, which they had to obtain from external facilities.
Now, the clinic offers modern and high-quality spectacles, including options like transitions lenses and bifocals.
Optometrist Twana Fausett highlighted that these glasses are available at reduced prices to make them more accessible to the public.
The eye clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, catering to both adults and children.
The prescribed eyewear is typically ready within two weeks, and payments can be made through various methods, including MMG, cash, and NIS vouchers.
