Limacol Secondary School Football League Continues with Exciting Matches

The Limacol Secondary School Football League’s 4th edition is set to continue on Sunday and Monday, November 12 and 13, featuring four matches on each day.

As the competition enters its third round, Bartica, Chase Academy, and Carmel are the front-runners, having won their first two matches.

The upcoming matches include:

Sunday Matches:

  1. Ann’s Grove vs. East Ruimveldt Secondary at noon
  2. Defending champions Christianburg Wismar vs. Chase Academy

Chase Academy, with strong midfielders and strikers, has been in excellent form, winning 6-0 against East Ruimveldt and 7-0 against Ann’s Grove.

Carmel Secondary, another unbeaten team, will face the inform Bartica, having won their first two games against Mackenzie and Christianburg.

Mackenzie High, seeking their first points, will play against Santa Rosa Secondary, who have been impressive with wins against East Ruimveldt and a draw with Ann’s Grove.

Monday Matches:

  1. Ann’s Grove vs. Mackenzie Secondary
  2. East Ruimveldt vs. Bartica
  3. Christianburg vs. Santa Rosa Secondary
  4. Carmel Secondary vs. Chase Academy

The winning team in the eight-team league will receive $300,000, with half that amount for the second-place team.

The winnings will go towards a school project chosen by the team. The top three teams will represent Guyana in the KFC Goodwill Series, featuring school sides from Trinidad and Suriname.
