The Linden Hospital Complex (LHC) is currently celebrating Rehabilitation Week 2024 with the theme “Transformative Triumphs.”

Activities for the week were inaugurated this morning at the hospital’s rehabilitation department.

Rehabilitation Week this year focuses on honoring the transformative successes achieved by individuals through their rehabilitation journeys.

It aims to highlight the significance of rehabilitation services and recognize the dedicated professionals in the department.

Dr. Trevlon Braithwaite, Medical Superintendent of LHC, praised the department during the launch for their unwavering commitment to patient care.

The week-long celebration includes efforts to raise public awareness about the range of services offered by the department.

Michelle Jackman, supervisor of the rehabilitation department and a speech and language therapist, emphasized the comprehensive nature of their services in her address.

The Ministry of Health continues to advocate for rehabilitation services, striving to reduce preventable disabilities and ensure equitable access to high-quality care for individuals with disabilities, enabling them to participate fully in society.
