“Learn to Ride” Initiative Targets Nursery Learners in Region 10

Jermaine Figueira, MP

The Caring for Others charity organization, in partnership with Region 10 Member of Parliament Jermaine Figueira, has launched an initiative aimed at teaching nursery school children to ride bicycles.

The “Learn to Ride” program began with the distribution of bicycles to nursery schools in Linden and will extend to all nursery schools throughout Region 10.

On Thursday, the first distribution took place, with Wisroc Nursery School being the initial recipient of the bicycles.

The initiative continued with excited children at Blueberry Hill Nursery in Wismar and Children’s Garden Nursery in McKenzie, who were eager to start riding.

The initiative, led by Figueira, aims to encourage physical activity and provide children with the skills of riding a bicycle from an early age.

The goal is to promote healthy lifestyles and develop motor skills among young learners in the nursery school system.

Caring for Others has a history of executing impactful projects in Region 10, ranging from supporting children to assisting senior citizens, making significant contributions to the community.

The bicycle distribution will continue until all nursery schools in the education district have benefited from this initiative.

The “Learn to Ride” program not only enhances the early childhood experience but also serves as an example of community partnerships working towards the holistic development of the region’s youngest learners.
