As part of Rehab Week, the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre in Georgetown received a generous donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
The donation included ten computers and two ATVs, aimed at enhancing the center’s capabilities in serving its patients.
Administrator Ashford Amedkar expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the LDS Church, highlighting their significant contributions over the past 17 years, particularly through initiatives like their wheelchair drive.
He emphasized the positive impact these donations have had on the lives of many patients.
Elder Kory Seller, a humanitarian missionary representing the LDS Church, reiterated their commitment to supporting organizations like Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre.
He described the collaboration as a blessing, emphasizing the LDS Church’s dedication to helping those in need through meaningful initiatives.
The ATVs provided by the LDS Church will facilitate the center’s outreach efforts, enabling them to deliver wheelchairs to remote communities more efficiently.
