Kwakwani Untouchables Secure Victory in One Guyana Basketball Tournament

The Kwakwani (KK) Untouchables, led by Domair Gladstone, emerged victorious in the One Guyana Basketball tournament, defeating the Mambas with a score of 104-76 at the National Gymnasium.

The game showcased a collective effort from the KK Untouchables, with Gladstone playing a crucial role in establishing the platform for his team’s success.

Shareaf Thomas contributed 20 points, Kadeem Dover added 17, while Royan Shortt and Jamal Gilkes both scored 10 points in support of Gladstone.

The Untouchables took an early lead in the first quarter, securing a ten-point advantage with a score of 22-12.

The gap increased to 30 points in the second quarter.

Although the Mambas displayed tenacity after the halftime break, narrowing the gap, they couldn’t do enough, and the Untouchables secured the win with a final score of 104-76.

Brandon Bento of the Mambas scored 21 points, and Samuel Thompson contributed 14 points.

In other matches of the One Guyana Basketball tournament, the Ravens defeated Pacesetters 62-32.

The tournament will continue with two other teams facing elimination in the upcoming matches.

Captain Domair Gladstone expressed gratitude for advancing and emphasized the importance of making better decisions in the next games.

He highlighted the team’s goal to build confidence heading into the conference final and progressing further in the tournament.

The Ravens also advanced by defeating Pacesetters in their playoff contest. The competition will continue with two other teams facing elimination in the next round.
