The Guyana Basketball Federation (GBF) One Guyana National League saw two exciting games at the Retrieve Hard Court in Linden on Wednesday night.
The Kwakwani Untouchables and Retrieve Raiders both secured impressive victories.
In the opening match, the Kwakwani Untouchables triumphed over the Flames with a 69-56 win.
The Untouchables took an early lead with a 22-17 advantage in the first quarter and built on that momentum in the second quarter, dominating defensively to outscore the Flames 11-5.
They continued their strong performance in the third quarter, pushing their lead further with a 19-10 advantage.
Despite a strong fourth-quarter push from the Flames, who won the quarter 24-17, the Untouchables held their ground to secure the victory.
In the feature game of the night, the Retrieve Raiders faced off against Berbice in a thrilling match.
The game was neck-and-neck in the first quarter, with both teams finishing tied at 22-22.
The Raiders tightened their defense in the second quarter, limiting Berbice to just eight points while scoring 17 of their own.
Berbice fought back in the third quarter, edging the Raiders 18-14, but the Raiders sealed the win with a solid defensive effort in the final quarter, finishing 65-56.
