Kobras and Ravens Dominate in GABA U23 Club Championship

In an exciting weekend at the National Gymnasium, both the Prospect Kobras and the North Ruimveldt Ravens showcased their dominance, remaining unbeaten in week three of the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association’s Under 23 Club championship.

The Prospect Kobras started their campaign with a solid victory over the Bartica Wranglers, securing a 60-53 win.

The Kobras displayed great intensity from the outset, managing a 19-10 lead in the first quarter.

Despite strong defensive efforts from both teams in the second quarter, the Kobras maintained a comfortable lead of 27-18 at halftime.

Throughout the third and fourth periods, the Kobras continued to outscore the Wranglers, ultimately sealing the victory with a final score of 60-53.

Captain Elijah Davis expressed satisfaction with the win but emphasized the need for improvement, particularly in defense, to reach their full potential.

Meanwhile, the Bartica Wranglers’ captain, Giovanni Tracy, acknowledged areas for improvement and highlighted the importance of practice and teamwork moving forward.

In the other game, the North Ruimveldt Ravens defeated the Meadowbrook Nets with a score of 60-51.

The Ravens dominated early on, outscoring the Nets 19-9 in the first quarter and maintaining their lead throughout the game despite a spirited effort from the Nets in the final periods.

As the GABA U23 Championship continues, both teams look forward to maintaining their momentum and further solidifying their positions in the tournament.
