Last evening, the first anniversary of the Kingston Seawall Esplanade was celebrated with a live concert featuring performances by local artists.

The Esplanade, which was commissioned on September 15, 2023, is part of First Lady Arya Ali’s beautification project aimed at providing a clean, comfortable, and relaxing space for families and friends.

Speaking at the event, the First Lady highlighted the significance of the Esplanade, noting its role as a symbol of collective pride and effort.

“This place is more than just a place to take a stroll; it’s a testament to what we can achieve when we come together with a shared purpose,” Mrs. Arya Ali said.

She also urged the public to remain committed to preserving the space, emphasizing the importance of public spaces in fostering community and national pride.

“When we invest in our public spaces, we invest in each other. It belongs to you, it belongs to me, it belongs to our children, it belongs to every single Guyanese,” she added.

The Kingston Seawall Esplanade continues to stand as a lasting reminder of the benefits of investing in public amenities and the role they play in national transformation.
