KFC Elite League Action Resumes with Exciting Matches

The KFC Elite League, a prominent football competition in Guyana, resumed its action-packed schedule on Thursday with two highly anticipated matches at the Guyana Football Federation’s Providence Centre.

In the first game of the day, Monedderlust aimed to extend their winning streak as they faced off against Buxton United, who were still seeking their first victory of the season.

Meanwhile, the feature match of the evening showcased Den Amstel squaring off against Ann’s Grove in what promised to be an intense showdown.

In the previous round of matches, Police Football Club, which finished third in the first half of season six, commenced the second half of their campaign with a strong performance.

They secured a 4-2 victory over Western Tigers, with goals from Jamar Harrigan, Neron Barrow, and Nicholas MacArthur sealing the win for the Police side.

On the other hand, Santos sprung a surprise upset by defeating Fruta Conquerors with a scoreline of 2-0.

Stephon Reynolds and Andrew Simmons found the back of the net in the second half, securing a memorable victory for Santos.

The KFC Elite League boasts a lineup of top-tier teams, including defending champions Guyana Defence Force FC, Slingerz FC, Den Amstel FC, Ann’s Grove United FC, Monedderlust FC, and Buxton United FC.

Matches are scheduled to run from May to August, offering fans an exhilarating season of football action.

The league aims to provide a platform for talented footballers to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level of domestic football in Guyana.
