Kemar Roach Stresses Bowlers’ Execution on Brisbane Pitch

Ahead of the Windies’ second Test against Australia in Brisbane, senior West Indies player Kemar Roach emphasizes the importance of bowlers executing their plans on the challenging pitch.

While acknowledging the team’s solid performance in the first Test, Roach believes it is crucial for the bowlers to stick to their strategies to compete effectively in Brisbane.

Roach, a key figure in the Windies’ pace bowling unit, expressed confidence in the team’s new-look attack, including Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph.

In the first Test in Adelaide, the Windies pace bowling unit, led by Roach, dismissed Australia for 283 in their first innings.

Speaking about Shamar Joseph, Roach sees great potential in the Guyanese cricketer and believes he has the qualities to achieve greatness as long as he puts in the effort.

Roach, a veteran with 81 Test matches and 267 wickets, is determined to offer guidance to the younger players, just as he received guidance when he entered the team.

As the Windies aim to level the series against the top-ranked Australia, Roach emphasizes the need for good execution and maintaining positive energy in the team.

The second Test is scheduled to start on Thursday in Brisbane.
