T10 cricket is making a grand return with the inaugural edition of the Kares Engineering Inc T10 Tape Ball Blast, promising two days of thrilling cricket action at multiple grounds across the city.

The competition has already attracted seasoned tape ball players, eager to compete for the enticing prizes at stake.

This Saturday, cricket enthusiasts can catch the action at various grounds, including Police Sports Club, Queen’s College, YMCA, and Guyana Defense Force, with the finals taking place on Sunday at Everest ground.

Representing the title sponsors, Kares Engineering Incorporated, Natasha Persaud expressed the company’s strong passion for softball cricket, setting the stage for an exciting tournament.

Dwayne Bristol, GT Beer Brand Manager, highlighted the value of such a competition and expressed Banks DIH’s commitment to add their brands to the event, further elevating its significance in the cricketing community.

Co-organizer, John Ramsingh, emphasized the anticipated high level of competition among the participating teams, ensuring captivating matches from the very first ball.

The competition holds significant rewards for the victorious team, with a cash prize of one million dollars and a trophy crafted from three kinds of wood sourced from Guyana. The runner-up will receive $300,000, while each of the semi-finalists will be awarded $100,000.

With 32 teams from nine regions participating, the event showcases a diverse representation from across the country.

Organized by Yusuf Ali, John Ramsingh, Akeem Greene, and Romario Samaroo, the tournament promises to be a remarkable celebration of cricketing talent.

The distinguished patrons of the event are none other than President Irfaan Ali and Prime Minister Mark Phillips, further underscoring the significance and support for the T10 Tape Ball Blast.
