In a remarkable debut at the Indoor Hockey Masters World Cup in Nottingham, England, Guyana’s men’s over 45 team clinched a resounding victory against Canada, led by skipper Jerazeno Bell’s stellar performance.

Bell’s exceptional display, including a remarkable hat-trick, guided his team to an impressive opening win.

The match commenced with Devin Munroe setting the tone for Guyana with a field goal in the 4th minute.

Bell swiftly followed up with two converted penalty strikes in the 7th and 8th minutes, propelling Guyana to a commanding lead by the end of the first period.

Despite a goal from Canada’s Daniel Shafransky, Guyana’s dominance persisted, with Bell adding two more goals to his tally in the 16th and 20th minutes.

Devin Hooper also contributed to Guyana’s scoring spree, further extending their lead.

After the halftime break, Munroe and Ian Nicholson continued Guyana’s scoring spree, with Ramandeep Brar managing to pull one back for Canada.

However, it was Guyana’s day as they cruised to a comprehensive victory, with Hooper sealing the deal with a double.
