In a recent statement, General Secretary of the PPP, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, criticized the development strategy proposed by APNU, stating that it lacks substance and indicates an inability to effectively run the country.
Jagdeo highlighted the contrast between APNU’s lack of vision and the PPP/C government’s plans for specific projects and programs and expressed his view that APNU’s strategy is basic and lacks a well-thought-out plan for the country’s future development.
Jagdeo went further to criticize APNU’s plan to commercialize corn and soy.
He noted that his administration had already formed a consortium to produce these crops on a large scale, aiming to make Guyana self-sufficient by 2025.
