Thirty-seven residents of Laing Avenue received housing assistance vouchers from the Ministry of Housing, marking the fourth batch of beneficiaries under the government’s initiative to promote homeownership.
This $50 million program aims to provide affordable housing solutions across all segments of society.
Each recipient was granted a $250,000 voucher for home repairs, with an additional $100,000 allocated for labor costs.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the transformative impact of these vouchers.
Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal, emphasized the importance of timely utilization of materials, noting that some recipients have not adhered to the expiration dates provided.
In addition to the housing assistance, the Ministry donated approximately $500,000 worth of play equipment to St. Pius Primary School to enhance recreational activities.
