Hope Applauds Windies for Clean Sweep Against Bangladesh in ODI Series

West Indies One-Day International (ODI) captain Shai Hope has commended his team for their all-round performance in the recently concluded three-match series against Bangladesh in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Windies dominated the series, securing a 3-0 victory.

Hope expressed satisfaction with the team’s planning and execution throughout the series, noting the positive mood within the squad.

He highlighted their ability to adapt and perform under pressure as a key factor in their success.

In the third and final ODI, Bangladesh batted first and posted an imposing total of 321 for 5 in their 50 overs.

Notable contributions came from Mahmudullah (84), Mehidy Hasan Miraz (77), Soumya Sarkar (73), and Jaker Ali (62).

Alzarri Joseph led the Windies bowling attack with two wickets, while Gudakesh Motie and Sherfane Rutherford picked up one wicket each.

The Windies responded with a commanding batting display. Debutant Amir Jangoo starred with an unbeaten 104, supported by Keacy Carty’s 95 and Gudakesh Motie’s quick 44.

Their efforts saw the team chase down the target, reaching 325 for 6 in 45.5 overs.

Jangoo expressed his excitement after his stellar debut performance, crediting the team’s preparation and the support from the head coach and captain for his success.

With the ODI series wrapped up, the two teams will now face off in a three-match T20 series at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.

The matches are scheduled for Sunday, December 15th, Tuesday, December 17th, and Thursday, December 19th, all starting at 8 p.m. local time.
