Guyana’s growing construction sector continues to attract investments, with Hercules cement trying to solidify its place here. As Guyana continues to experience major infrastructure development and increased construction activity – the quality and durability of building materials remain critical.
And according to Sales and Marketing Agent Ronald Nandlall, Hercules Cement meets these criteria.
“Based from all the test and all the engineers form various construction companies in Guyana our cement would have would have exceeded the expectations…after 28 days, our cement juice after testing is about 7,000 plus psi,” he said.
Building engineers and contractors often highlight the importance of selecting appropriate construction materials, particularly in countries like Guyana where soil conditions and water levels can create challenges.
In this regard, Nandlall says Hercules cement fits the bill.
“In terms of the heat, you know, other cements will trap a lot of heat. The Guyanese would know concrete, so it is very hot. But with Hercules cement, the because of the content of the cement, it doesn’t trap a lot of heat. It reduces heat actually,” he said.
As Guyana’s construction sector continues to expand, industry stakeholders say the focus must remain not only on the speed of development, but also on the quality and resilience of the structures being built.
