Helping Hands NGO Spreads Christmas Cheer to Children and Senior Citizens

Over the weekend, the non-governmental organization (NGO) “Helping Hands” brought Christmas joy to children and senior citizens at the James residence in West Watooka.

Chairperson of the Helping Hands NGO, Ms. Sherry Fyffe-James, explained that this Christmas activity was previously organized by the PPP/C Wismar Flat Group, focusing on shut-ins, senior citizens, and children affiliated with the political party.

However, this year, Helping Hands, born out of the group, extended its reach to spread Christmas cheer to a broader audience, particularly the less fortunate.

Ms. Sherry Fyffe-James highlighted that Helping Hands, being a non-governmental organization, is committed to making a positive impact on the community.

This year, they catered to over 100 senior citizens and more than 100 children.

“We normally go plan to do it yearly,” expressed Sherry Fyffe-James, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to making this initiative a recurring event.

As part of the festivities, bicycles were presented to some of the children, adding an extra layer of joy to the occasion.

Ms. James expressed gratitude to all those who supported the venture, acknowledging their contributions in bringing smiles to the faces of the recipients.

The Helping Hands NGO’s dedication to spreading Christmas cheer reflects the spirit of giving and community support during the holiday season.
