GuyExpo 2023, the country’s largest trade and investment exposition, concluded on Sunday, receiving praise from participating businesses for the exposure and networking opportunities it provided over the four-day event.
Businesses lauded the return of GuyExpo after a seven-year hiatus, emphasizing the positive impact on recognition and audience engagement.
Kezia Case, a representative from Luminous Manu. Inc., expressed satisfaction with the event’s outcomes, stating, “Definitely, we would participate again. This has gained us some great recognition.”
She highlighted the exposure gained and affirmed that businesses would interact with the audience they desire for their future endeavors.
Several first-time businesses also commended the exposure they received at the exhibition.
Matoya Grant, an exhibitor showcasing sterling jewelry, shared her positive experience, mentioning that she got into sterling jewelry through a course at the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Aleem Hussain, who brought Mini Golf to GuyExpo for the first time, was pleased with the overwhelming response, stating that several thousand people visited their exhibit in the past few days.
Allison Parker, a Public Relations Committee member of GuyExpo, reflected on the overwhelming success of the exposition after its hiatus.
She highlighted the positive impact on suppliers, noting that they expanded their marketplaces through valuable contacts made during the event.
Over the four-day period, thousands of patrons flooded the National Exhibition Centre to explore products and services offered by small, medium, and large businesses.
Patrons enjoyed discounted services, giveaways, and the launch of new products, including Namilco’s Unbleached Flour and Pizza Flour.
Cultural performances, ranging from Chutney to local artist performances and steel band melodies, entertained visitors each night.
GuyExpo, which began in 1995 and was held annually between 2004-2016, returned under the theme “Transforming Guyana Through Investment, Innovation, and Resilience.”
The successful conclusion of GuyExpo 2023 marks a significant milestone in promoting trade, investment, and cultural exchange in Guyana.
