Over 75 Guyanese businesses are gearing up for the highly anticipated Agrofest 2025, set to take place from February 21 to 23 at the Queen’s Park in Bridgetown, Barbados.

This annual Caribbean trade fair has become a vital platform for businesses to showcase their products and forge valuable partnerships within the regional market.

John Edghill, Director of Investments at the Guyana Office for Investment (GoInvest), provided an update on the preparations for this year’s event.

He highlighted that a training session will be held on January 21 to equip participating businesses with essential marketing and pricing strategies, ensuring they are well-prepared for the exhibition.

Edghill also emphasized ongoing efforts to foster bilateral partnerships between Guyanese businesses and international companies, noting that discussions are already underway with potential partners looking to explore local products before the event.

The participation of Guyana’s contingent in Agrofest is supported by several stakeholders, including the Ministries of Agriculture and Tourism, the Private Sector Commission, the Guyana Marketing Corporation, and the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association.

Although initial registrations have closed, interested businesses are encouraged to contact GoInvest for additional opportunities.

Agrofest continues to serve as a crucial event for strengthening Guyana’s presence in the regional business landscape.
