Guyana’s U17 Lady Jags to Face Suriname in International Friendly Series

The Guyana Football Federation has announced the final preparations for the eagerly anticipated Under-17 Girls’ international friendly series between Guyana and Suriname.

The two countries are set to engage in two home games on November 25 and 26 in Georgetown, with the series concluding in Suriname on December 16 and 17.

Technical Director of the GFF, Bryan Joseph, highlighted that this series is part of a broader collaboration between the countries to promote various activities related to youth football development.

The friendly matches serve as a boost for both teams, given that they missed out on the CONCACAF U17 Qualifiers earlier in the year.

Suriname Football Association (SFA) Technical Director Biswajeet Kali expressed readiness for the upcoming matches, confirming that all arrangements have been finalized for the December 16 and 17 fixtures in Suriname.

These matches will also mark the conclusion of the 2023 competitive season for both teams.

The friendly series reflects the commitment of both nations to foster regional collaboration and enhance opportunities for youth football development.
