The United Kingdom is looking to further strengthen its trade and investment relationship with Guyana, as latest figures show trade between the two countries has reached more than two-point-two billion pounds.

This development was highlighted today at the UK Export Finance, UKEF, Private Sector Financing Workshop, held for Guyanese businesses.

The workshop focused on helping Guyanese businesses understand financing opportunities available through UK Export Finance.

UKEF has up to three billion pounds sterling available for eligible projects in Guyana, creating opportunities for local companies to access long-term financing to expand their businesses and increase trade and investment.
