The Suriname Guyana Chamber of Commerce (SGCC) and the Ghana Chamber of Commerce in Guyana (GCCG) have formalized a partnership to enhance investments and development in Guyana.

This collaboration was sealed through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the International Business Conference 2024.

The partnership aims to leverage Ghana’s expertise in natural resource management, agriculture, agro-processing, energy, and renewable resources to support the economic growth of Guyana and Suriname.

The initiative also focuses on making business operations across these territories more efficient by sharing information and addressing challenges faced by chamber members.

In addition to this agreement, the Dominican Republic Chamber of Commerce in Guyana announced the selection of its Board of Directors and plans to begin accepting members soon.

The conference also facilitated the signing of four other MOUs across various sectors, all designed to drive development and strengthen regional and global trade networks.

This strategic alliance underscores the chambers’ commitment to fostering growth, creating opportunities, and enhancing collaboration in the region.
