Guyana Police Force Focuses on Holiday Security and Traffic Plan

The Guyana Police Force is in the process of formulating a comprehensive holiday security and traffic plan to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens during the upcoming festive season.

Commander of Regional Division 4C, Assistant Commissioner Khali Pareshram, provided an update on the initiative, emphasizing their commitment to safeguarding the public.

Commander Pareshram underscored that the primary objective of their plan is to prioritize safety and security throughout the holiday period.

In response to inquiries about the police’s strategy for Christmas safety, he assured that they have already initiated their plan and are poised to implement it.

Reflecting on recent events, Commander Pareshram acknowledged that they serve as valuable learning experiences for the force as they continue to strategize for a rapidly developing nation.

Anticipating a surge in holiday traffic, he emphasized the need for a robust approach to manage the increased activity on the roads.

The Commander also highlighted that these engagements have provided opportunities to test their police resources and systems, citing events such as the cricket carnival and the upcoming Diwali celebrations.
