Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association Launches Inaugural “IMPACK Manufacturers’ Summit” in March 2024

The Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA) has announced the launch of the inaugural “GMSA IMPACK Manufacturers’ Summit,” scheduled to take place in March 2024.

The summit is designed to position Guyana as a leading manufacturing hub in the Caribbean by facilitating collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation.

The event will bring together key players from across the Caribbean to address challenges and explore opportunities in various manufacturing sectors.

The focus will be on enhancing Guyana’s competitive edge in the regional manufacturing landscape, covering aspects such as access to finance, supply chain, labor, energy efficiency, and government policies.

The goal is to develop practical strategies that boost the competitiveness and sustainability of Guyana’s manufacturing sector and the broader Caribbean region.

GMSA President Ramsay Ali emphasized that the infrastructural development underway in Guyana makes it an opportune time for such a summit.

US Ambassador Nicole Theriot announced collaboration between the US Embassy and GMSA to foster partnerships with US companies.

The GMSA anticipates that the summit will produce an actionable document with recommendations for policymakers and leaders to drive prosperity and ensure a vibrant and thriving manufacturing sector.

During the event, the summit’s logo was unveiled, symbolizing the upcoming developments in Guyana’s manufacturing sector.
