The Guyana Jaguars showcased their football prowess with an impressive 4-1 victory over Tinto Academy in the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) U-16 Youth Academy Cup.
The match, held at the National Training Centre in Providence, saw the Jaguars deliver a commanding performance from start to finish.
Shamar DaSilva was the standout player, opening the scoring for the Jaguars in the 15th minute.
He continued his prolific performance by adding a second goal nine minutes later, giving the Jaguars a 2-0 lead.
Daniel Lowe further extended the Jaguars’ advantage with a goal just before halftime, securing a comfortable 3-0 lead at the break.
Tinto Academy, despite being outplayed, managed to score a consolation goal in the 53rd minute through Tyrel Superton.
However, the Jaguars sealed their dominant performance with a fourth goal in the final moments of the match.
With this victory, the Guyana Jaguars are now tied at the top of the tournament standings with Point Fortin Academy, both teams having secured three points each.
Tinto Academy, still seeking their first points, remains at the bottom of the table.
In the other match, Point Fortin Academy and the Guyana Panthers played to a goalless draw.
