The National Gymnasium is set to witness a display of strength and athleticism as some of the most robust and fittest athletes converge for the Guyana Fitness Games and Expo this weekend.

Organized by Noshavyah King, the event promises a day filled with spirited battles, showcasing the prowess of fitness enthusiasts.

The Fitness Expo kicks off on Saturday, November 4, at 18:30 with the “Soca Fitness Fete,” a rhythmic fitness dance party that promises to infuse energy and enthusiasm into the proceedings.

Following this, a basketball showdown between perennial school rivals Bishops’ High and Saint Stanislaus College will captivate the audience at 20:30.

Sunday’s action kicks off at 12:00 noon, featuring athletes competing in the Crossfit segment in both elite and scaled events.

Last year’s team champions, the Green Machine consisting of Semonica Duke and Tonnica Archer, will defend their title in the women’s category.

In the men’s category, the Fitness Addicts, represented by Omisi Williams and Kellon Reid, aim to maintain their championship status.
