The Guyana Fashion Showcase is gearing up to make a grand appearance as part of the Cricket Carnival celebrations.

Scheduled for October 5th at the Castellani Grounds, this event promises to be a spectacular fusion of style and culture, featuring 14 talented designers from Guyana, the Caribbean, and New York.

Michelle Cole-Wagner, Artistic Director and Designer of Cole Facts, is leading the event’s preparations. She has crafted the showcase to align with the Cricket Carnival theme, blending the vibrant energy of cricket with the sophistication of fashion.

Cole-Wagner emphasized that the event represents not just a display of clothing but also a testament to the significant growth of Guyanese fashion, driven by emerging and innovative designers.

Cole-Wagner also highlighted the expansion of the industry, noting how designers like Randy Madray have risen from humble beginnings to gain recognition in the fashion world.

She has called on the public to show their support, stressing that while Guyanese designers gain fame abroad, local support remains crucial for the industry’s success.

Philbert Giddings, Chief Executive Officer of the Guyana Fashion Showcase, confirmed that this will be the event’s third edition.

The showcase will open its gates at 7 PM, with general tickets priced at GYD 10,000 and VIP tickets at GYD 15,000.

This year’s fashion extravaganza is expected to attract a diverse audience and further elevate the profile of Guyanese fashion on the global stage.
