The second edition of the Guyana Fashion Showcase is set to take place on October 4 at Castellani House in Georgetown.

The event aims to highlight Guyana’s vibrant talent and creativity in the fashion industry.

Michelle Cole-Wagner, the Director of the show, shared that the initiative was launched five years ago to provide a platform for fashion enthusiasts in Guyana.

She emphasized that the showcase aims to create an original space for local fashion designers to display their work and foster growth in the industry.

Michelle Cole-Wagner noted that when she began as a designer, the fashion scene in Guyana was limited, with few designers and scarce fabric resources.

Today, the industry is improving, and the showcase is designed to provide a stage for designers to showcase their creativity and boost business.

The Fashion Showcase will feature workshops for designers, fashion displays from various national designers, and appearances by both national and international models.

Philbert Giddings, CEO of the Guyana Fashion Showcase, stated that the event is intended to elevate Guyana’s reputation not only for its resources but also for its fashion, talent, and design.

Tickets for the event will be available starting August 15. For details on ticket sales, visit the Guyana Fashion Showcase’s social media platforms.
