Following the successful conclusion of the inaugural One Guyana Three-Stage Road Race, General Secretary of the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF), Mark St. Claire, has expressed satisfaction with the competitive spirit and organization of the event, which took place over two days across Berbice, West Demerara, and Georgetown.

The race was won by Jamaul John of the Kaieteur Attack Racing Club.

Reflecting on the event, St. Claire highlighted the effort and coordination from all involved, noting that they were able to tick all necessary boxes for the event’s success, though minor adjustments could enhance future races.

With Guyana’s hosting of the Caribbean Cycling Championships approaching, St. Claire noted that the GCF feels well-prepared.

However, he acknowledged there are some areas to improve before the competition, which is scheduled for November 1-4.

Team Guyana, featuring top cyclists including Briton John, Jamaul John, and Aaron Newton, is set to represent the nation.
