The Guyana Chronicle has successfully wrapped up its annual “Gadget & School Supplies Drive,” benefiting 65 students across all ten administrative regions of the country.

This year’s initiative aimed to equip students from nursery to secondary school with essential supplies and electronic devices.

To participate, students submitted coupons published in the Chronicle’s daily and Sunday newspapers from July 1 to August 7.

The campaign, which started four years ago, initially emerged in response to the increased need for technology during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Acting Marketing Manager Beverly Roberts expressed her enthusiasm for the campaign’s growth over the years, noting its continued success in bridging the technology gap for students.

Among the beneficiaries, 14-year-old Malachi Anderson, who received a laptop, shared how the new device will significantly aid him in completing his school assignments.

The initiative was supported by several sponsors, including Sheriff Security, Star Computers, Viscom, and Blue Spring Water.
